Have you ever been to a sex shop? (if no, would you?)yes
Do you think sex shops should be banned?no
Do you think sex shops are useful? if yes in what way?yes. For some it provides a release, or vice. i am of a firm believe EVERYONE has, or needs SOME sort of vice. It may be tied to the reptilian side of our brain in some way, but I honestly feel there is a deep seated desire in all beings, to have that secret "treat" that they often may hide from all others in there life.
Have you ever seen other people having sex (not porn)?briefly (walked in on sort of scenario)
Do you think sex education should be abstinence only?Hell no
If a child asked you what sex was, what would you tell them?I would gather some assorted literature from various online sources (trying to keep it educational and informative) and I would then try to present it to them in an honest, but light-hearted, demeanor. trying to clarify for them also the taboo, around the topic 9without getting into the why's of those taboos to deeply) and why it is an important topic to be informed on, but to understand that it is not always the most appropriate topic to discuss with everyone, because some people still have issues with the topic for a variety of reasons.
PORNOGRAPHY: (if you've never seen porn answer as "would you")
What is your definition of porn?I do not think there is enough space to provide an answer! In a purely by the book style definition would be, it is a representation of ideas, that illicit an erotica arousal in the person experiencing the idea. The media can be vast, throughout history from cave drawings - to current day streaming real time sex shows, sex has always been discussed in some form, or represented.. the hard wiring of human beings make everyone intrigued and or at least curious about sex. porn is the representation of some of that lustful desire to "mate" in some media, with the design and intent of arousing the person experiencing the media. (be it painting, writing, video, audio, etc.. etc.. etc..)
What is your opinon of porn?Like any vice, and MANY things, in moderation, or at least being aware of it in a healthy "new experiences" sort of way GOOD! Abused, overused, a desire for to a degree of obsession or even worse addiction, like with all vices, that would be BAD!
Would you consider artistic nudes (paintings and sculptures) as porn?no. Only social stigmas and taboo's cause some societies to view such as anything other than art.
Where would YOU draw the line for porn?participants unwilling, or unable to be a willing participant. (I.e. no kids, no "actual" rape stuff.) Rape reenactment stuff is a tough one for me to "accept", but for some people that is what yanks there chains and as long as it remains in the realm of fantasy.. no harm no foul.
Have you ever seen a porn magazine?yes
Have you ever seen a porn video?yes
Have you ever viewed porn online?yes
Would you ever consider porn as a job for yourself?maybe at some capacity in the industry, but in front of the camera, no.
Do you know any of these terms? (if so which ones) Fluffer, d-ped, rim job, tea bag, acorn, bacon bomb doors, quief, skeet, cunnilingus, fellatio, dirty sanchez, cupids alley? All but cupids alley, and that is nothing a quick google search can't rectify.
Do you think porn should be censored?Hell no.
Do you think 18 is the right age for porn viewing?about right, I feel the EDUCATIONAL, discussion and information about sex, pornography etc, should be discussed much sooner than that.
Do you think porn has any educational value?most definitely.
Do you think porn workers have a right to work?yes!
What is your preferred viewing porn material?amateur heterosexual oral , or anal sex scenes. Odd but I don't care for the big budget porn stuff, yet for some reason the crappy quality home camera stuff between couples = hot! I think there is a better chemistry watching amateur couples, they are there to fulfill each other, or one another's desires, it is the act itself that is the focus. Professional porn lacks that honest chemistry, that passion… porn is acting for a paycheck to some degree, and doesn't feel "sincere" Funny i know, looking for "sincerity" in porn.
Have you ever been to youporn.com?yup, would recommend www.yuvutu.com also, think youporn, but with an international member base. It is entertaining seeing and hearing "foreign" languages and music etc, while a couple goes at it… also oddly connecting realizing many of the same fears, sounds, actions, motions etc…. are universal… Even in foreign tongues, sounds of "no no" or.. " yes right there!" come across the same. The words may be unrecognizable, but the sounds and intent is loud and clear.
youporn.com offers free porn to people over the age of 18, and they can upload their own personal videos if they want. Would you go to youporn.com knowing this?yes
Do you think porn should be made by big studios using industry standard stars or by the everyday people that view it?there is room for both. As I stated above my preference is for the later everyday people approach. Yet that is the thing about sex, different strokes for different folks, as it were. If there is an audience for big studio titles, then no one should step in and prevent them of providing to there customer base.
Do you think that the use of "normal" people in porns could result in a sexual revolution that effects the general media? One can certainly hope. I think the only thing that will truly bring the sexual revolution will be time… ideas and beliefs are the truest form of evolution. Much like biological evolution though it can take a long time to notice or see change. Old ideas, and those who hold them die out, new ideas find new followers, and the cycle of beliefs continues to evolve with each passing generation.
When you consider porn "Stars" (Jenna Jameson, Ron Jeremy, etc.) do you think of them as average people, movie stars, athletes or something else?Average people who I feel sorry for, not in for what they do or have done for money sort of way, but from the difficulty they must face in being themselves at times in our culture which has a strong under current of sexual repression. Sex is wrong and evil, so anyone who openly discusses, or "heaven forbid" performs it for others to see, MUST be evil… Also it is a career path that has to be its own form of scarlet letter on the dating scene, for some people that is a hang up I am sure they can not overcome, and for those who actually seek them out because of that "letter" I am sure it is that star-fucker, syndrome, in which Ron, or Jenna etc, are not seen as another living breathing human like everyone else, but through the lens of "celebrity" a notch on the bed post of "hey i fucked, *insert porn star name here*, the difficulty in finding a true heartfelt romantic relationship in that line of work has to be rough is the basic summation to my ramblings…
If you could make a porno (big budget) what would you change about them?
Much like the leave a disposable camera for others to use concept, try to find some way in which the high quality camera gear, with good lighting could be created into a smaller form so that it could be given to a random assortment of willing adventurous amateur couples, and be "relatively" easy to use and setup. Allow them to film whatever they want with it (within the reasoned guide lines of only legal willing participants of course) then collect it all back at some point go through and edit up a compilation of better quality amateur stuff…
Would/have you video yourself in a sexual situation and upload it to the internet?I have the video but would not upload it because the other party is visible and it was a promise of privacy, and I will never break that promise. Filming sex is an exercise in trust, if any part wishes it to remain part of a private collection, and that is part of the terms to allow the filming to take place, that agreement should be honored REGARDLESS! Even post-relationship. I think vengeful "private" sex video post are just low… it reflects more on the person who broke the privacy agreements character, than any of there actions on film ever could.
In ancient Greece, citizens decorated their houses with paintings of people having sex and considered the penis to be a protective symbol which they displayed openly in front of everyone regardless of age or sex. Does this information effect your opinion of sexual images, ancient Greece, or yourself?Always has. I truly feel the greeks had a MUCH more healthy attitude toward sex and the sexual form than many of the "modern" societies since. yet because the church found there views "sinful" much was done to white wash that information from history….
The tern pornography, in the sense that we know it today, was not invented until the victorian era. The word was used to censor "potentially damaging images" that the ruling class believed would incense the working class to become more "animalistic." Does this information change your opinion of pornography, the victorian era, or sex?Nope coincides with what i know, and doesn't effect my view on it. I think the thought of anyone deciding what is "potientially damaging" for me to see, read, ingest, etc.. based off of there morals, beliefs, customs, or superstition, is not freedom as I understand it, yet we supposedly live in the "land of the free"
If you have made it this far, thank you, one last question. Did this survey make you uncomfortable, angry, or upset in anyway?Nope.
