In my daily life, between a full time job, a family of 5 (with 6 pets,) my own photography business and grad school I do not have time to sit down and draw like i want. I have always drawn around the edges of the paper while I'm sitting in meetings, sitting at ball games, sitting through performances, etc, etc, (basically a lot of sitting,) and I thought to myself. This is as important a part of my art practice as if I were sitting down and drawing anything else. I love the little artworks that come out in the edges of the paper from the edges of my mind. Sometimes they are pretty, sometimes repetitive, sometimes dark, but they are always what's going on in my brain. I believe this is an excellent form of art therapy and a great way to exercise your brain, hands and eyes.

Other Margin artists on Flickr. I like the way they photographed the work. I may try that rather than scanning the next batch… it'd be a hell of lot faster.
